Firework Locations Perfect For The Fourth

The time is upon us once again—the great national holiday of the Fourth of July. And with the fourth comes the spectacle of fireworks. But in order to catch a fireworks show, you must first know where and when they are. Here are some of the best firework viewing locations in North West Atlanta.

Marietta Square

The first spot on our list is well-known for its evening concerts and shows throughout the year, but their annual fireworks display is one to remember. Located at 39-75 E Park Square, Marietta, pre-shows begin at 7:00 PM while the actual fireworks begin at 9:30 PM.

A little bit further north of Marietta Square, the city of Kennesaw hosts a free fireworks show for all individuals. Unlike other fireworks shows, however, the city of Kennesaw hosts a pre-independence day show on July 3rd at Adams Park on 2829 Cherokee Street from 6 to 10 PM.

The city of Acworth hosts an annual Independence Day celebration at Cauble Park on 2293 Beach St. Pre-show concerts begin at 5:30 PM, while the fireworks displays begin roughly around 9:30 PM. The show is free for the public, while tables for six cost an additional fee.

Powder Springs

From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the area of Powder Springs is throwing a July 4th Celebration and Fireworks at 4488 Pineview Drive. The show is open to the entire public, and games, food, and other activities will be offered to the public.

Centennial Olympic Park

A prominent staple of the city of Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park offers an awe-inspiring fireworks spectacle. While the park will be closed for preparations on July 2nd and 3rd, the gates will open back up at 7:00 PM for the public to tent out before the actual fireworks.

Sandy Springs

Every year, Sandy Springs throws a Fourth of July celebration with the Sandy Springs Stars & Stripes Celebration. Like the other spots on our list, the Stars & Stripes Celebration begins at 7:00 PM with live music and other activities, while the actual fireworks begin at 9:30 PM.

There's nothing better than live rock and roll paired with mesmerizing fireworks. Each and every year, Hiram throws the Red, White, and Boom event that gives the citizens of Hiram a free concert and free fireworks show. Beginning at 6:00 PM, the Red, White, and Boom event is located at 372 Oak Street.

One of the biggest events on our list, the city of Roswell, offers its residents a 4th of July extravaganza. The event begins earlier than our other locations at 5:30 PM and is located on 10495 Woodstock Road. Come for free entertainment, food trucks, and stay for the breathtaking fireworks show.

Our final location is found in the great town of Douglasville. Beginning at 9:30 PM, the town of Douglasville shoots off a series of fireworks from Hunter Park so that the whole community can sit back and watch fireworks together.
